12,000 from each of the 12 tribes of israel
all men.
and how do they get round that ?
it turns out that on the basis of the book of revelation 14:4 the anointed ones have to be virgins?
how does the governing body explain this?.

i guess you can be physically out, like in a huge way, but definitely mentally in.. serena williams claims she won't be celebrating her daughter's first birthday.. i did know people like that, raised as a jw but never actually baptizing.
that didn't mean they were not messed up in the head though..
and whats this "WE" ?
oh yes--members of an exclusive sect. the royal "we" means--us--not you !
i can just hear my born in first wife saying it.
my super fine eldub bil, has a son that's been df'ed for a long time.
last month he deeded off 1/4 of an acre of land in the back of his pasture, bought a small local built used tiny house, and got it all set up, for his son to live in.
to everyone of the jw's in this area really look up to him and his stand on having nothing to do with his df'ed kid's or grandkids.
i left the cult in my 20's..but my dub dad and mum never shunned me. i lived in sin for a while--smoked and swore. made no difference. my parents had a close natural bond with me. blood being thicker than water. my dad was an elder for many years during that time. we just never talked about his religion.
do you remember those families where all the sons and daughters had weird biblical names?.
i recall a " machlon" , "eunice" , even a "jehosafath".
can you believe it..
yep--i named my first son Nathan--even though he was born in 1976 and i was long gone from the cult by then. his being conceived in 1975 was no accident.
the name Nathan was almost unheard of in the UK back then, but it certainly started a trend.
hi guys, i have been summoned to a judicial committee for apostasy.
i'm going to disassociate anyway but i don't want to miss the fun .i'm thinking of handing my letter of dissociation on the night of the committee.do you think this is a good idea?.
as i said i have already made my mind up.
i resigned at a committee meeting--after the presiding overseer had said there was no case to answer--just a misunderstanding via the rumour mill. i said from now on i'm Mr--not brother--if they want to talk to me. but that was about 45 years ago..
it didnt make any real difference back then---no one shunned me or ignored me if we bumped into each other. all that came years later....after it was announced in the congregation i was an apostate and no one should talk to me. fine by me.
since leaving the jw's after over 4 decades, i can see exactly what it is and hate everything it stands for.
however, there are still some jw habits and traits that i can't get rid of:.
1. i can't swear in general conversation (i'd have to be really angry).
i sometimes sit down and do nothing for a couple of hours--usuall nod off to sleep. old habits die hard. i learned it from sunday meetings.
wikipedia article on jehovah's witnesses:satanjehovah's witnesses believe that satan was originally a perfect angel who developed feelings of self-importance and craved worship.
satan influenced adam and eve to disobey god, and humanity subsequently became participants in a challenge involving the competing claims of jehovah and satan to universal sovereignty.
other angels who sided with satan became demons.jehovah's witnesses teach that satan and his demons were cast down to earth from heaven after october 1, 1914, at which point the end times began.
i'm satan. read my name
gotta grab that to share
i dont know why i'd want to argue over something like this.
i've been aware of this theory for years.
as interesting as it is - it's still bullshit.. for future reference, i believe the bible to be a collection of fantasy, myth, real locations and crazy ramblings of psychedelic bloke stuck on patmos.. my reply:.
DAFUQ did I do?
what is DAFUQ ?
what the f*ck.
witnesses are used to saying that every other religion but their own makes up “false religion “....how would a devout witness handle being labeled as a member of a false religion??
?.
all religions are false--if they promote the idea of a man made excuse for their existence that occupies a hole in the sky.
